Hyfire’s wireless devices were recently selected to ensure the safety of a historic seafront building in Norway. The structure, which houses two shops, office spaces, storage areas, and apartments, was originally constructed in the 1800s, therefore, in order to preserve historical integrity, it was paramount that the installation was minimally invasive. The local fire department were the first to suggest Hyfire as a possible solution, as Hyfire has a known track record of installing their state-of-the-art wireless devices in historic buildings.
The advantages of wireless devices for this Historic site
Hyfire’s Taurus system is quick to install and causes minimal disruption and no damage to the building; after a mere survey installers are able to install 100 devices controlled by Advanced MX Pro 5 rapidly ensuring maximum coverage to any building, no matter how old.
Michael Gudbransen, Sales & Operations Manager at Holta & Håland Safety AS, Hyfire’s distribution partner in Norway, comments: “Given the fact the structure was a protected historical site, by installing the Taurus wireless system we made sure the whole building was safeguarded without the need for invasive work.”
The project was completed in collaboration with a trusted local installation partner, ensuring all local regulations and heritage preservation guidelines were strictly followed. Thanks to the flexibility and reliability of the Taurus system, the entire installation was completed in just a few days.
This latest installation in Norway adds to Hyfire’s growing portfolio of historic and heritage sites protected across Europe, demonstrating the versatility and efficiency of wireless fire safety solutions in even the most complex environments.
As awareness grows around the importance of protecting both people and places, especially in historic settings, Hyfire continues to lead the way in combining innovation with sensitivity, proving that cutting-edge fire safety doesn’t have to come at the expense of architectural heritage.
