An historic care home in the heart of the Garden of England is now being protected by Hyfire wireless fire devices, which were installed with minimum disruption to staff and residents.
A major update was required to ensure that the fire system at The Old Vicarage Care Home in Deal, Kent, was in full compliance with the latest residential fire regulations and best practice. With Covid-19 restrictions in place, a solution was required that allowed the new system to be fitted as rapidly as possible, while limiting contact with residents and time spent on site.
By selecting a world-leading wireless fire system from Hyfire, the team at installers Secureshield were able to pre-programme the devices off-site and install them in minutes, minimising disturbance and ensuring virtually zero impact on the fabric of the listed building.
Robert Bruce, Hyfire Regional Sales Manager, commented: “This project clearly demonstrates all the key benefits offered by wireless fire devices, especially in a pandemic situation. They are quick to fit, with minimal time on site, and there is no need to install complex cable looms. There are no downsides, as the performance of modern wireless fire devices is equal to the wired alternatives in every respect.”
